espabilar(se): la forma pronominal sugiere más agentividad del sujeto, es decir intención o voluntad, y viene a significar 'quitarse el sueño o pereza' o 'darse prisa'; la forma intransitiva, en cambio, viene a significar 'salir del sueño', lo cual no implica necesariamente la intención del sujeto. En algunos países se prefiere la palabra 'despabilar'.

-Como no (te) espabiles, te vas a quedar atrás — If you don't get your act together, you're going to get left behind

-Los trabajadores no pueden con todo -Pues que (se) espabilen — The workers can't manage it all -Well they'll have to get their act together 

-Voy a tomarme otro café. A ver si me espabilo — I'm going to have another coffee. Let's see if I can wake up

-Espabílate. Tenemos mucho trabajo que hacer — Get a move on. We have a lot of work to do
