-Casi meto la pata. Estuve a punto de felicitarle por el embarazo y no lo sabe todavía  — I almost put my foot in it. I was about to congratulate him on their pregnancy and he doesn't even know yet

 

-Lo único que te pido es que no metas la pata. Este cliente es muy importante — All I ask is that you don't screw this up. This is a really important client/customer

-¿Por qué me miras así? ¿He metido la gamba? — Why are you looking at me like that? Have I put my foot in it?

 

-Cambiar el logotipo ha sido una metedura (metida) de pata monumental —  Changing the logo has been a monumental blunder
