-Estaba enganchado a la morfina. Una enfermera se la conseguía, pero le cortó el grifo cuando su jefe empezó a sospechar — He was addicted to morphine. A nurse was getting it for him, but she stopped supplying him when her boss started to get suspicious

-Los bancos han cerrado el grifo (de crédito) a las pequeñas empresas — The banks have stopped giving credit to small businesses
